Gratitude goes out to the Sierra State Parks Foundation for providing a $500 transportation grant to Reno ICO. Their interest was to promote winter use of California State Parks in the Sierras. This was perfect for Reno ICO snowshoeing trips at Donner Lake, our most popular destination. Reno ICO is proud that we have already spent these funds to defray the transportation costs for a snow trip with a Quaker youth organization from California and Nevada, as well as two Washoe Innovations High School snowshoe trips.
This story demonstrates to foundations and supporters that Reno ICO puts 100% of grants and donations into getting young people outside. And we do it rapidly!
